Red face

All,
Need a spot of assistance from one of you helpful Scooby Netters with a classic turbo who lives near to Beeston.
Im selling my "SPORT" this Friday to my sister-inlaw (soon to be) and i was told that my 205/45/17's won't fit on a turbo, due to the Sport having drum's on the back and not disc's.
Well i sold my original wheels a couple of weeks ago as i didn't know this was gonna happen.
My missus isn't happy as she paid for them.
So was wondering if one of you people out there can help me, i just need to whip 1 of the rear wheels off to check it will/won't fit.
Trouble is i work Nights so it will need to be done in the day, and has any got some std 15" wheels i could buy ?
number

I thought that on a classic turbo you had a choice of two tyre sizes for 17" wheels - 215/40/17 or 205/45/17.

Check out the faqs at www.sidc.co.uk

I have a set of 16 MY98 wheels and tyres in good condition if your really stuck.

I've got a set of 15" Legacy Alloys and wheels. 2 tyres are good, 2 tyres are not so good. If you give me an offer for them, I'll drop em off to you in Beeston......

I should think they do. You can try them on and then see if you want them...

Dazza - been and checked my sizes.. I've got 215/40/17
Also checked a mate's in works car park - he's got 205/45/17

Going on tyre sizes, can't see a problem.. does it depend as much on the wheels as the tyre size, or am I being stupid? (something to do with the wheel clearing the disks / calipers?) Do you know what wheels you have? try calling Paul @ TSL and asking him if they'll fit a turbo - he should know if they will.. Failing that, let me know...

Cool

it was the salesman at Beechdales, went into seeing about a px on the red turbo (10k) now on auto trader for 8 1/2k he then told me that i would need to keep the wheels on it cos they won't fit a turbo. didn't know if he was pulling a fast one, as i said i wanted to keep the wheels, cos the missus just paid £700 and her face when he said that...well if looks could kill, i'd be dead and so woould the saleman.
will call TSL and let u know

i have Milga T12's

thx's all for the help.

I reckon the guy's got his wires crossed... The 17's will fit the turbo. It's the 16's you have problems with, they sometimes don't fit the turbo with the "bigger" calipers and discs. I'm running 17's on mine.

They are Migla T12's 205/45's.
But Paul at TSL has confirmed they will fit a turbo, think the saleman was trying a fast one.

RB5 comes with 17 inch wheels wearing 205/45 tyres. It also has 4 pot brakes on the front. I cant see this being a problem. Dealers is speaking the language of poo
