Dunno if it's been posted before, but be careful of the mobile speed camera unit on London Road heading towards Trent Bridge. Collegue at work was caught and so was the wife. caught doing 40 mph in a 30mph limit - it's 3 lane dual!

The Nottm. Evening Post has the locations of where the mobile unit will be in the week they are published. Check the Monday night editions on the same page as the weather and roadworks info.
.....but I wouldn't bet on them getting it wrong!...

There weren't any markings down on Tuesday. I didn't think Gatsos worked forwards???
I have had 4 Gatsos flash me from the front - even though their markings were on the other sde of the road and no cars had passed from the opposite direction. I have not received any penalties to this date, although all but once I was definitely within the speed limit.

Kev i think they are the new digital forward facing ones theres a couple in ilson and one in ripley, so the motorbikes get away with it again as they have no front numberplate.

These are not the digital specs one , but trulevo ... forward facing using 3 lines in the road to detect your speed. Radar detectors will not pick them up, and they will not flash.
Currently as of tonight they are not commissioned as they have plastic over the lens ...

Got a Geodesy Plus Radar. Still need to get the radar bit fitted. Way beyond my car electrical skills.
On the whole the GPS bit is good. Its speed sensitive in that you get more warning distance wise for cameras on 70 limit than you do for 30 mph. Also warns you if you are over the limit for that particular camera, beeps and flashes like a crazy thing. It does get it wrong though. There's a Truvelo in Codnor in a 40 limit. Geodesy thinks its a 30. It also does not know about the 2 on Notts Road, Ilson. Maybe because they're not supposed to be active yet, not sure.
The radar bit is supposed to get all the gizmos that GPS can't find.
