The Bike & police activity is on weekends, Mainly sunday. But i don't mind going anywhere as long as its got a few twisty bits, Is a decent drive & minimal (none preferred) Gatso's

I've not traded up, Look closely it is Silver, Has Bonnet vents & the smokey rear is air vapourising due to the sheer speed !!!

Cat and fiddle is a top spot.
Do not worry about the police up there, as there has not been any for 6 months since Staffordshire scrapped its traffic police and put them all on the beat !!. Just don't stray that far onto Derbyshire as they still have traffic cops.

Seen as we best avoid the Walton and A34 for a while (hey Jonto )...

So maybe head up a bit further up North this time like Leek way?

11th Sept keeps it being the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Suggestions for a suitable venue with a decent sized car park? I don't know that end of the world that well for pubs.

Chris.

I wouldn't go to the winking man, it might not even be open anymore as it was up for sale abit ago.

The Mermaid is a nice place but caters mainly for people eating, silver service etc.

Why not go upto the Cat and Fiddle on the Mac road

I used to live in Leek

The mermaid closes at strange time's the Red Lion in Thorncliffe would be better, they welcomed 11 evos with open arms the other Sunday.

The Cat & fiddle has to be prime choice, Anyone thats not experienced the roads to & from there will be amazed. Its quite simple to get to, Not to far & bloody great on a nice day / Eve.

Unhappy

Only issue would be the speed limits and sheer amount of police presence aswell as traffic lately

Talking

Have you seen the crime figure ratings for staffordshire, You have to speak to a wall at Leek police station which answers back from stafford. I don't think Police presence or speed restrictions will be an issue on the way to the Cat & fiddle ! Sheep Maybe !!.

Thumbs up

Afirmative

Cat & Fiddle is not the road it was 20 years ago! It has a crap surface, many restrictions, too much traffic (especially bikes!) too many accidents and, therefore, way too much attention!

I can think of quite a few nice ones up on't'moors 'chelle How do you like your sheep?
