Okay, so judging by demand, it looks like these are going to be a success
Neil, myself, robman?, ChrisB? will be planning the annual Staffs meet So keep your eyes open for the soon to be coming thread posting details of things
As far as the mini meets go, can I make a suggestion?
You want the North Staffs meet to be held on the 10th July (unfortunately if it stays in an even pattern then this won't be alright for me to do as my shift pattern falls on that week - week on week off pattern)
I think it would be a good idea to hold the South Staffs meet two weeks from that date. Then the next North Staffs meet two weeks after the South one and so on?
Good idea?
Next, I need a venue for the South Staffs meet. I am going to hunt around local pubs. I know the Wolseley Arms near Cannock Chase and Rugeley is a fantastic scenic location with plenty of parking and good food.
Any other peeps with ideas? Let's get these on the go
Michelle.

Michelle,
Good idea with 2 weeks about , the only problem might be with the first one is that if you go for the 24th july its the main holiday weeks for some peeps (unfortunatly I'm one of them), but I guess you could see from the response you get. Is the Wolseley arms the pub between Rugely and Milford ?.
I dont want to push in, but if you need any help both myself and Jill would be willing to lend a hand (unfortunatly not the main hol weeks).
Cheers Steve

Steve,
Cheers for the offer, that's great, I would appreciate it
I don't particularly want it to fall on that week either because of my current shift pattern.
Let us all vote on what weeks are best for us then.
I agree robman, tis a nightmare with Gatso's. If that pub is agreed, I can do maps for getting there from each direction with accurate guides to the Gatso's

Milford is a good place for meeting, I dont think that there are any GATSO's in the lanes behind Shoug Hall / Great Haywood so could be nice for a short run....... Nearley found out to my cost yesterday that it's worth while diving steady through the chase yesterday when a deer crossed in front of me(missed by about 2 feet (even the brakes on me scooby are putting a smile on my face))
Years back we used to meet by the glacial bolder (not far from the german cemetary) loads of space for parking and messing about chatting and checking out the other cars..... then go from there or is doing all that and having a pint more important?

That's what I was thinking Chris,
Places like Lichfield and Cannock are a fair trek to get to Stone or Stoke.
That is why I want to set up one more Southern for any peeps who prefer not to travel so far
It is also nice to have a small monthly gathering as well as a massive one which can be done once or twice a year
