No boost need help please

Default No boost need help please

can anyone help just got my brothers impreza running took it out for a run around block fine got back and previously major oil leak from oil feed turbo onto up pipe so my brother jet sprayed it to get the worst off car went divvy would'nt rev but would idle it seemed to cut out when we tried to rev after about 5 mins we turned it off and re-started fine would rev took it out for a run NO BOOST flat as a fart after 3 runs and various tinkering got very slight boost but only real slight minimal boost the boost is soooo low there is no dumping from the dump valve anyone got ant ideas where to start?????

0.5 Bar is wastegate so if you're getting less than that I'd suspect a leak that is preventing the pressure from building or an issue with the turbo/wastegate. If you are getting 0.5 bar or above look at the boost solenoid. My best shots

Cheers budgie and JonMc found the problem my brother had left a old rag in the headers where we had ported them and got sucked into the turbo

Bloody hell never heard of that happening before. Fingers crossed there is no lasting damage.
