Anyone got a 32mm pipe threader or die - I have a flange to fit the factory DV to my FMIC pipework, but I need to thread the pipework so I can screw the flange on

From what I can tell it is a 32mm thread with a 1.5mm pitch, I don't have any thread gauges to be any more accurate.

Hi,

i dont think that ebay tool is going to be any good for ya , it's a pipe cutter , yes it will cut into alloy , but this cuts a BSP thread

Guessing the 32 really means it's cutting a 1" BSP thread

The thread pitch is 2.3mm ! So no good for you !

i saw this on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stocks-and...item20c61b4948

BUT you'll have to email the person to ask what thread pitch the die is , as 32's come in 1 + 1.5 + 2

http://mdmetric.com/tech/thddat4.htm

( standard is 1.5 mm ) And this should be a standard stock die , but best to ask before blowing your money

Hope that helps

Cheers Ron, and quite a bit cheaper too - I've asked him the question. Plan 2 would be to strip the thread from my flange and ali-weld it on to the FMIC pipe. I could use a 32mm silicon hose to join it but I'm after something a bit more complete if you get my drift
