Advance warning - before you read any posts from Ricky tonight make sure you are comfortable and have a bottle of wine to hand
Ricky, this is what you need
http://www.cobrasport.com/exhaust/Su...I+01-07/31/0/0
I suggest you give them a bell regarding the twin-scroll as it is not specifically listed as well as asking them to do a proper taper to 2.5"

Doesn't sound like a major disaster then? Was your Facebook post sounding a bit more dramatic than it could have been Jon?
Looking forward to the Ricky write-up on the new motor!

Turned out to be marginally better than we thought, but what should have been an hour job for Alan turned into 4 hours for Alan, Jim and I, with me getting some of my tools and Jim bringing the welding gear around.
Jim and I should have been cooking Sunday dinners, don't know about Jim, but I got home just as the dinner was being served so at least th dog didn't get a treat

Errrm, yes it did turn into a slight drama I must admit!!! Though may I add it wasn't by any blundering on my part this time
A full write will be forthcomming tommorow It will close the thread "Back in time to Ver6 TypeR Wrc Ltd" & start a new one for 2011, the third installment in the saga. ( Lets also not forget part 1- "Mid 2009 Mods to do" about my fist love )
Anyway before that let me sincerley thank Alan / Janine, Jim & John for their help in getting me out of a tight spot...again! Who these days would be out in the cold & rain under a car thats not theirs for over 3 hours just to help a friend. So once again many thanks & apologies: to Jim for dragging you out on a Sunday, in the rain, to run around collecting welding gear & then cutting a welding when you should have been at home making a roast; John for going back & forth getting jacks & tools & helping out till the end; Alan for working relentlessley in the rain under my car for over 3 hours in the cold & in the process whacking his face on the exhaust hard (while having a smile on his face throughout the whole day) & Janine for being out there in thce cold with us all the way through & also Kaos for lending a hand in the drama too.
Iv said it before in this thread, you don't see this kind of thing happening these days in socitey's busy, private & almost selfish modern culture. MSOC is not just about a run out on a Sunday afternoon in the Scoobies,...............
To be continued......

Had to be quoted! Sorry Ricky!
Anyway, very glad all's ok and looking forward to seeing the new car. It's *exactly* what I was looking at and I may have to beat you up a little bit, so apologies in advance
MSOC FTMFW as always! Love you guys (yet hate you at the same time cos I'd miss all the japes and shenanigans too much if I bought something else!)

Strangely enough Ricky and I had that exact same discussion on our way back from Manchester last weekend, and my Mrs thinks the same if I bought an RS4 (hence why I keep telling her it's a good idea to keep the scooby as well)
