Default i need your opinions

as above what do you thin k the chap replied to message saying this I would say about 1mm of end play, you can see very slight scuff marks on the outer housing where the blades have touched possibly due to ssome grit getting through. I ran at 340BHP for not many miles on off road racing

If the compressor or exhaust wheel have touched one or other of their housings, then it's goosed. - Avoid IMO

+1 Rich, the ball bearing units shouldn't have play, the fluid or brass insert bearing type turbo's like tdo5 's have some play when empty of oil

Hi Steve with VF range is problem are hard to refurb,if you get this turbo refurb you will looking around 250-450£.
Best bet for you look for VF35 or TD05-16G or 18G

Not necessarily - I've had over 350hp out of a couple (on 2Ltr engines, with all the correct supporting mods)

The genuine TD's are strong turbos, but for improved spoolup over the 16g, and not a lot more money you'd be better off with a VF35 IMO
