Default My first Impreza - A 2005 STi PPP

Hi everyone, be gentle its my first time

Having owned a series of Alfa's and a Caterham 7 I decided to join the 300 bhp club!

I acquired the car about four weeks ago from my father in law who has owned it since 2007, its only done 38,000 miles and has the Prodrive Performance Pack added by the dealer.

I gather Prodrive fitted a De-cat section to the exhaust, fitted an uprated fuel pump, remapped the ECU, fitted better pads with more appropriate compounds and tweaked the suspension. My car also has the widetrack rear suspension with the spats over the arches. Is there anything I have missed?

I hope you like it.

Looks a genuine and clean one . A nice find.

Id personally ditch the front lower grille, seems out of place on a a more oem focused car.

either way a nice one. enjoy it

Thanks for your kind comments guys. Does anyone have a link to the 2005 STi PPP PDF as supplied by Prodrive? Failing that if anyone has a definite list of what forms the pack then that would be great.

Cheers
Paul

I do believe the pack involves a different exhaust silencer air filter and remapped ecu to 305 bhp or at least mine says that in the door.

Very very nice example you have there and the best model (in my opinion) as there the best of all worlds, reliable modern and decent setup

Nice car mate

Prodrive fitted a sports cat, and prodrive embossed back box (dont know about the centre section)

They also fitted a high flow fuel pump and remapped the ecu to 305PS

they never changed the discs or suspension (unless the person before you purchased prodrive springs) these should be blue or red off the top of my head

The widetrack doesnt concern the rear suspension

Thanks for clarification Steve, I heard they did something with the suspension and brakes but the net is full of Chinese whispers!
Can I just ask if the widetrack doesn't concern the rear suspension then what's the point of the plastic arches/spats ?

The wheel base was widened on that year, all sti's from 2005 were, the spats are to fill the slight width difference.

Very nice, I'm not sure on the lower grill maybe Matt black it.
Other then that very tidy car.
I thought widetrack was just wider rear end by 15mm and hubs now running 114.3mm also standard wheels from 7.5" to 8" wide. I believe the wide arch spats and rear bumper is to compensate for the wider rear end and wheels! Saves money on reproducing new rear arches etc!
I may be wrong lol

Very nice car.

I like the discreet plugging of your website by the way.

Hey that sounds like I did it sneakily.... To be honest I didn't know what to do with the plates so thought I would put on the web address but yes i suppose the post certainly does no harm.

I cannot plug the web site due to forum rules but it's a site for petrol heads with it's aim to save money so please don't think it's a money grabbing exercise as it's not.

Back to the car..... I am really pleased with everything and think they are a perfect all around performance saloon which can fit in the whole family
