Default New to the forum..Some pics of my Impreza P1..
Well I'm Niall Im from Ireland living in London, well Essex.! I'm living in a place called Woodford, bought my 1st Subaru last month its a Impreza P1 Limited Edition, its no. 52 out of 1000.. Love the car so far, I'm looking for new crystal sidelights, bumper indicators and side repeaters for it if anyone can help me out to where i would get them be much appreciated..!

looks very nice mate,allways liked the p1 but cant understand why most have had engine rebuilds at low mileage.

I have some crystal front bumper indicators, I'll swap you for your standard ambers?

I'll even send them to you first so you can swap them over. How's that sound? They normally sell for a lot more than standard ones, so it's a good deal for you.

lovely P1! I noticed that about P1's too they all seem to have had rebuilds done at low low miles, oil starvation seems to be to main cause.

Possibly the nicest of all the classic Subarus, best left standard and kept it in tip top condition!

Well the main reason was det. They were maooed to 100ron but we only have 99ron. That's what I've heard so don't quote me.

You suggested that as a cause of 2.5s going bang too, no it's because they're fitted with chocolate pistons as standard. Not all owners aspire to 30mpg!

The P1s are believed to have bang easily because of a mapping issue, they detted like mad on UK fuel.

I thought the P1 engine was a better engine than the Type R.? The man i bought it off said he always ran it on super unleaded so thats all I'm running it on now, more octane..

Im sure a sti type r v5-6 is the same as a p1 v5-6 enginewise

Nice car, engine is the same as v5/v6 and the engine issues were indeed due to the original map.

Use Vpower or tesco momentum only.

Nice original looking example,i own 384,why not have a look at the P1woc forum there are usually those kind of parts available and lots of advice on P1 ownership!
