oem with a little twist to the norm
Been wanting to do it for a little while and still wanted the factory look so gave the steering wheel a little twist to the normal red stitch work
I did think about going suede and the line up the top like the rally look but so many have gone this way so thought I would do something a little different
will get some more pics when its back in the car and also have my hand brake to do so will keep you all posted hope you like
pics are off my phone so not the best

thanks lee and ian
as the steering wheel was done with a different type of stitch to the oem wheel I thought hand brake could be don the same as the original
the stitching is a little raised at the moment as its 20 bond thread doubled up but will flatten once its used
will take a few pics once fitted

Some great work. How much is ball park to retrim a 330mm OMP style wheel in suede with some red stitching and trim some sun visors to match
I've got all the stuff to have a crack myself but not sure I could come even close to that standard or work

If it's an aftermarket wheel then yes you would be better getting a new one as by the time I have bought leather, glue , cotton and how many hours it takes to prep cut and sew the wheel takes a good few hours , only benefit s the oem wheels really and not aftermarket
I'm sure when you have a go you will see what I'm talking about , if you get stuck on any bit tho just drop me a pm and I will try to help
Same as trimming all seats a car takes around 2 ad ihalf hides and for good leather it's around 160 to 200 a hide and alcantara real stuff 65 to 70 a meter top that with quilt foam glue cotton and so on just for the stuff to trim the job is totaling up to 500 plus before I add my personal time to do the job which takes the cost to around 800 to 1000 plus depending on what style / stitch etc.. lot of man hour to trim a car right and look good

very smart :-) let me know if you start finding some time, I want to get my original Momo wheel retrimmed (currently in the loft feeling sorry for itself) and would be great to have it done by someone who knows the Subaru wheels - I'm only after a factory spec retrim but with red stitching
And yes, you should start up by yourself with skills like that!

And a quick pic of a Classic xk120 soft top I made from scratch with no patterns just pics from books and trimmed boot and seats
Newage door cards trimmed to match wr1 seats and also trimmed the rear bench to match the fronts
Hopefully at some point I will get to have my own trimming place fingers crossed
