Subaru Building - Shinjuku, Tokyo - My visit to Japan Part 1
Hi guys,
I went to Japan earlier this year and kept meaning to post a thread of what I saw. So I thought I'd start with what I saw first:
The Subaru Building, as found in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
It is located over the road from the Shinjuku trainstation. I found it by accident when I went roaming as the wife had asked me to check out if Shinjuku looked good for shopping.
Video of the "tour"
There's not a lot to really look at in there, but if you're over in Tokyo, it is so easy to find I just recommend popping in to have a look whilst on your way somewhere else.
Anyway some pictures and video:
Full (small) album here:

Sign posted in the train station.
Advertising for their vehicles of course.
Outside the quite small show room.
They had a cutaway of the DIT engine and CVT transmission on display. Video below:
Came away with a goodie bag
I'll be trying to get the next place I went to up soon.
Thanks for looking!

You're all welcome. I've got plenty more to sort through and will post it all up in due time
Yeah I went everywhere I could think of. Shibuya crossing was near the top of the list. Got to sit at the window in the Starbucks overlooking the crossing. I went to Shibuya a good few times, walked the roads around there, went into all the shops, found some very very cool places.
Loved it there.
Saw this whilst sat up in the Starbucks above Shibuya crossing.

They wear the masks when they have colds to stop spreading to other people. Very polite - however blowing your nose into a tissue is seen as disgusting whereas hacking up a huge greeny and gobbing into your bin next to your desk is absolutely fine.
Nowt so strange as folk !
I worked for the Japanese for 18 years and loved my time in Japan even though I didn't fit anywhere

Yes, for the best view of Shibuya crossing!
I went to many back street restaurants for authentic food.. for a drink and a cookie, I went to Starbucks.
I can't wait to go back. Was thinking about a 2014 trip, but may leave it a few years. 100% going back. Loved it there.

Astonishing sight isn't it? I went there on my last night in Tokyo before flying back to the UK, just stood on the side of the road people watching for about 15 minutes. Only place I wanted to go to, but didn't, was Akihabara - had to leave myself one thing unticked on the list so I had a reason to go back! Aiming to do that next year, would have been back there this year but spending on the car took priority!

I'd be out there now if I had the chance. Saturday will be a year to the day since I flew out there, miss it greatly. Brilliant country, amazing people, stunning scenery, and the food was awesome. If you do go back, I can thoroughly recommend using the company I went with, InsideJapan Tours - such a great bunch of people, a couple of them have actually become good friends now.
