my new scoob
picking this at the end of the month
2001 WRX
needs mot'd but ive had a good look over and only needs back brakes
wheels will need a refurb as well as thier a bit corroded, cant wait to get it in my garage and under the buffer since its pretty swirled
no major plans really, i have an hks ssqv to go on (blah blah dump valves are crap ive saw enough threads on them)
maybe a remap in the future, these can be OS mapped? yes?
its basicly standard atm with a cat back exhaust

looks nice and straight, check underneath around the front end for corrosion as bugeye's rot badly
if you want a few more horses then ditch some of the cats, add a sti top mount and have it mapped, should see you with 270+ bhp on the standard td04 turbo or add a decent pump/injectors and a vf35 from a sti and go for 330 ish

Yeah the decat is on the list of things to do, I've rebuilt a fair few engines before but never a flat four
I might end up buying an engine with bottom end damage or hg failure and building it back up
An engines an engine at the end of the day

Enjoy mate, bugs are a good buy, a few achilles heel type issues but plenty of help to resolve them and bargain performance motoring. As for dump valves, I have had OE, aftermarket and DV-less and not had issues with any of those options. Going back to a forge VTA for my FMIC
