Looks great! Black looks amazing when cleaned/waxed.
Out of interest, how are you going to remove the roof scoop? I have one that looks exactly the same and would like to remove it. Dont want to damage any paint pulling it off if its bonded strongly!

Hey Big sparks
I'm new to the forum, but have been reading the topics here for a while now.
I recently bought myself another 1999 Impreza N/A Sport, Which will become my wife's when I buy myself a turbo, WRX OR WRX STi model in the very near future.
The reason for this post is that I saw your STi in Bournemouth last year and took some snaps of it (will post them when I'm behind a PC and not on my iPad. And was very pleased to see the new work done to your Scooby. I was buzzing after seeing your car that I decided to get a Subaru for myself again.
So thank you for bringing me back to the only way of life... Scoobies!

Mine is tiger bonded ( i think thats what its called )on mate so will be a bugger to get off and will leave the remains of the bonding on the paintwork , I'll be having a front end respray after the summer to get shot of a couple of stone chips I've picked up so will get the roof sorted at the same time

Cheers, feels good being behind the wheel of an Impreza after selling my last one 6 years ago and leaving South Africa for the UK again. This MY99 will be a project / market tester for me, as I need to find my feet in the UK when it comes down to fixing up cars. Prices and cost of upkeep in South Africa is very different than here. So hopefully soon I'll be behind the wheel of any turbocharged Scooby. And hoping for it to be a Classic MY99 or MY00, as they are my favourites by far.
I'll upload my pics on Wednesday night, as I'm on nightshift at the moment and won't see my PC until then.

Haha it was on the car when I got it mate not my preference at all tbh , rumour has it there's a genuine flap in blue floating around kettering and all you need is a balaclava and a tin opener and its yours lol ;-)

lol its such a nice looking clean car too, hopefully it will come off without too much damage, then bring it to a meet and let me run over it several times
I had silver zunsport grills and changed them to black, looks much better I think, maybe get the full length bottom version as it seems to make the front look lower.
I think your right on not painting them though as the genuine ones are powder coated and dont chip.
