That does look very nice mate, but I would put the spoiler back on. Just my opinion.

The very early RA's (92/93) didn't have spoilers as standard but the rest did. This one would of had the mid level spoiler from factory, looks much better without though.
As a side note, the early cars even had gaping holes instead of fog covers.

Actually the early ra had the option of the lowest level rear spoiler.

Looks spot on as it is

They had many options, electric windows, air con, radio/cassette and as you say, small low level spoiler.

Id love to find a first gen wrx ra in completely standard original spec. Rare car now !

Where did you get that from?

Any early RA before September 94 would of been a WRX RA so wouldn't of have fog covers either way, where did the gaping holes info come from, can't say I've ever heard that.

Nice RA by the way Joe..

Sorry I meant gaping holes instead of fog lights, typo.

Heres a pic of an early car..

Fog lights were an option. In the early days subaru wanted the car as light as possible which is why anything they could strip they did. They gained weight later on but also gained power.

The early cars were WRX only so no roof vent. This was saved for the later STI RA.

Lockley has a wrx ra which is almost identical to the pic in the brochure....and its mint !

Only the brakes and wheels have changed as the 2pot fronts are useless....

Was an everyday road car up untill last week....now is going to be prepped for next year's sprint series...although keeping the silhouette of the oe cars body etc..

Nope, The STI V2 and type RA STI V2 came out in August 95. But between October 94 and August 95 subaru released the WRX type RA STI version.

Lucky bugger, id love one. Id keep it completely original as well. I really dont think the lines of a classic suit a spoiler.
