Classic STI
Hello there, I'm new-ish on here... I took in this car as a trade in hoping to flip it before I came back to France but instead I decided to keep it (it put a smile on my face when I put my foot down)
It's not perfect, has a few annoying issues and needs a little work but I like it.
I believe it's a Version 2 WRX STI, the front bumper and wing are from a later classic. Not sure what Subaru the wheels came from though. Can someone shed some light? Someone at some point has painted over the rear lights, fitted a horrid fake carbon scoop and screwed the number plate through the fog light cover Need to sort those points out.
Engine wise, it's got a cheap air filter, pfr (which I think is broken) FMIC and I was told a Hayward & Scott exhaust that's badly fitted and rattles when warm.
Inside is standard apart from some dials and cheap carbon effect wrap on the plastics. The Nardi steering wheel rubs against the column (another one of those annoying problems)
Here it is after a wash:
And then after the 15 mile drive to the old mans house where it's parked up for the winter:

They look like Newage WRX wheels painted black.
It looks like it's had a complete facelift froma later model Impreza done to it.
Have a look on the VIN plate for the Applied Model code.
Worth having a look on the Traders section on here as there are loads of cars being broken so you should be able to pick up replacment parts quite cheaply.

It's a tidy looking example, as said above they are newage WRX alloys that really suit the classics - only issue with them is that they won't fit over Brembos if you plan to upgrade the brakes in the future

Thanks for the replies, I'll have a dig through the classifieds and see if I can find the bits I want... No plans to upgrade it, but that might change soon! already have a stripped out, caged up mental car so I want to keep this as a comfortable but fast play car.
Are there any Subaru specialists in Brighton? When I'm in the UK that's my base, needs the fueling looking at as it's running rich and sometimes stalls when pulling up.

http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...orum/index.php may be able to help
imo if you do upgrade I would go for suspension bits and pieces as the OE rubber bits etc will be quite worn and the brakes may need to be sorted as the early ones aren't that good.
