Default My diecast collection - 700+ cars

I thought i'd share some pic's of my diecast car collection.
My Dad and i have been collecting for about 15 years. I started the collection off when i was about 13 with a couple of ferrari's and lambo's as you do at that age, then my dad got involved and it quickly got out of hand.
We recently got most of them together so i took some pic's.
As you can see there is a wide variety of cars and some very rare.

now that's just showing off!!

I have a friend who has a great collection and his "thing" is porsches - he has hundreds of porsches - some of them are worth 4 figures

but his collection comes nowhere near that

his are all in custom made glass cabinets though - saves on dusting

very impressive.
I have 35...subaru..mk2 escort..bmw e30 all 1.43 scale.
I set myself a £100 limit on any car.
I would however go over this if i could find a Phil Collins mk2 escort

Wow mate that is really impressive. I've ways had a soft spot for diecast cars (as any young lad probably did) and started off buying a few with my pocket money at the time. Unfortunately growing up I ran out of money (spending it on drinking, women and cars) and also space (going to uni, buying a flat etc) but I'd love to get my boy into and hopefully have a collection as big as you and your fathers!

Brilliant collection, i started a collection of schumacher ferrari F1 cars. At one point had about 60 in total but have tamed that down to about 20 now.

Have a few rare ones, the rarest being the 2001 f1 car from the Monza GP after 9/11 which had no livery and a black nose with only 800 something models made.

What scale is the ayrton senna JPS car 1/12?

That's amazing and you most loving showing that room off to people. If you don't mind me asking, could you have a rough guess of how much you've spent on the collection?
