Show me your new age centre consol colours
Just interested in seeing your colour choice mods covering the OEM silver finish.
Also would like to hear how you did it, DIY or body shop for painted options. I have to get to my single din pocket at some point which led me to thinking that this could be a good time for a colour change.... I'm thinking sheen graphite or maybe black.
Cheers
Simon

Simon, I think the matt black finish is best just like Glenn has in his S204 - ok I have the older interior in my Spec C but I've swapped out the silver trims with black and it really improves the look.

Carbon wrap atm, but contemplating what next - some of my flock is peeling so once the under-bonnet work is complete may consider a complete refresh inside

Another vote for the S204 look Si you can buy all the bits from Japan Parts, but can spray the plastic bits yourself! JDM red hazard switch is available over here for a few quid too

Here's Glenn's actual S204 interior I had a look earlier today, strange finish to it as it is not paint it feels like it has a very thin rubber coating applied to it.
What's hydro dipping never heard of it??
What's the prep needed and best can to use on plastic anyone have any pointers?

That "plasticoat" stuff would be a rubbery finnish going by the video.
Hydro dipping is if you remember putting the decals on Airfix models , when u soaked them in water till they came off the paper. Think that , but just ink that floats on the surface of the water and when you dip the part in , the image sticks to it. Pretty much any design u can immagine, then laquor over.
Google it , cool stuff , but probably not for a centre consol.

Looking at the link above I'll probably fall off the back of my chair when we get a price lol the Yen conversion rate is shot to bits. There's a couple of options here really, that's to either remove from the car and paint or buy the bits from a breaker paint and swap. Need really to research on how to sand the bits down as in grade of paper then what undercoat and finish to use from rattle tins, from experience with my classic after buying all the stuff needed its sometimes a similar price to pay a sprayer and have a mint job done by a pro.
