Nice car I should know its my old car, it's an Evo 7 gsr xt330 no r in it.
I sold it to a lad called stuart from Worcester in April last year.
It was a very good car, very quick, also a MLR members car so I knew the previous two owners.
Pistonheads advert was very poor and not 100% accurate, I hope your friend looked into the mileage/history/owners.
I have just bought a 05 sti with ppp and it doesn't feel as quick or sure footed as the evo but the evo had 30 bhp more and the active yaw control. The yaw control took out all the errors in the driving to keep you on the road at high speeds.
I do like an evo but when it came down to buying the Subaru made more sense for my budget. I was looking at 7's or 8's that were 10-11 years old or a Subaru that was 7 years old, less miles plus less services per year and no active yaw control to fix at some point.

Evo 7
Funny enough, I recognise that car as well LOL
I sold it to the guy Karl bought it off, excellent example and very well cared for despite the large amount of owners.
The guy you bought it off was blatently breaching the sales description act though because its done a lot more than 30K and I think I was the 12 owner.

That VII your mate just bought was a very good quick car, I bought it off Mattler then sold it to Karl 18 months later.
Alot of owners yes plus a binder full of reciepts, but it drove and handled superbly and never missed a beat in my ownership.
Hope your mate enjoys it as much as I did...

What a coincidence eh Karl!!! lol.
I see you bought Jap Turbo power again, even if maybe a little softer.
Always having a little look on the other forums, came close a number of times and nearly crossed over to the Darkside of Scoobyism several times, but not just yet, time will tell.
Back in an old Stage 3 Saff for nearly a year now and enjoying the blast from the past and the smell of oil and fuel for the time being...
