Tinted windows pic request
Pic request - Guys looking for a few examples off what rear 18% window tints look like ?? the company I was thinking off using offer 35%, 18% and limo, want something that is noticably dark but no completely black so 18% sounds fine.
any pictures off 18% subaru / non scooby - 4x4 type vehicle -- x5 etc would be also be great.

PM sent thanks.
18% on front, you talking about the rears as surely you would not have had a very dark smoke on front windows ??!!
maybe getting wires crossed here, according to most websites I see there is 35% tint which is slightly darker than factory tints, then you have this 18% tint that you can just see thru from outside then its onto 5% which is classed as limo black.
Quote " Got 18% front + 35% rear "
when you say front and rear are you refering to rear as in the boot window off the car ??

What ever you do, do not get limo black, you wont be able to see $hit out of your windows at night, Been there, lol....
Ive left my fronts clear, But have 35% on the 3 rears and its dark enough from the outside and light enough inside, Just enough to hide the kids (My own, Not other peoples BTW)

Okay thanks for your input. to be honest having seen a 35% tint on my fathers car I personally prefer a slightly darker tint ie. 18%. looks dark but you can still see thru it both ways, rear screen will probably go for 35% but will see what they say when I go in to get them done.
front windows nope big no !! been there done that and being as the tint is going on a 4x4 x5 type vehicle prefer the rear only tints, think it looks better.
would imagine this example would be a 18% tint yep ??

a good way is to get the rear window as dark as you can (not limo) as this will darken down the rest of the windows from the outside , but leaving good visibility from the inside. I'm not sure on what % mine is , but my fronts are what i would call "light smoke" and the 3 back ones are "dark smoke".
looks dark from the outside , but if you look at the next pic , the drivers window looks like there isnt even a tint on from the inside. (dont have a pic from the inside , but you can see through the windscreen)

in all honesty , when inside my car you can hardly see a difference in the tint compared to my windscreen. Its only from the outside when you get the cobination of looking through 2 tinted windows and the fact its dark smoke on the rear screen that makes it look really bad. Compare these 2 pics where in the 2nd one you see the drivers window looks fine when looking through it on its own. Ilegal ? yep ! Dangerous ? Not really.

the fronts have no tints at all so are legal and as for very dangerous?
i had this looked over by a few lads and girls i used to feed when i was head chef at a training centre and they never said anything!!???
in fact the only thing they ever said about was my godspeed 335 brake upgrade and had i told the insurance??!!!
