Open your pic, make sure it looks okay on the screen.
Choose "Save As", in the "save as type" box (under the filename), choose .gif (Compuserve Grahics Interchange)
If it doesn't work, mail the pic and I'll take a look

I think your uploads are stopping partway through the process, then the file on the upload server is left incomplete. Don't know why, though.
