Default The scoob needed a good polishing

The scoob really needed a good machine polish, had loads of surface scratches and never seemed to have that great a finish. Pretty happy with the results.

Didn't have the stamina like 'pigsti' had to do it over two days. The usual clean, clay, clean, machine polish and then wax.

And I'm now burnt, I need some after sun on my bald head but it was worth it. Excuse the fat man in the pictures

In the picture where you see your reflection.. the trim next to the rear door glass comes up a deep glossy black if you give it a rub with some compound then polish as normal

Not sure what you mean mate, that part looks brand new. Polish would just go all chalky

It's dead simple mate, I used maguires too. Use a spray bottle of water, don't bother with the maguires detailing spray.

Imagine you're wet sanding the car. Spray loads of water on the area and then rub the clay (softly) in lines - not circles like polish etc. You will see how much crap comes off, the clay will go all dirty. When it goes dirty, just fold it in half and pad out with your hand.

You wont damage the car mate. You will notice such a difference, the paint work will feel like glass and like me, won't be able to stop touching it.

Search it on youtube mate, be good to see someone actually doing it.

Good luck

Rez - try this mate

get a small tupperware container for the claybar. If you drop the claybar, bin it. You will end up rubbing scratches into your paint

Can't recommend it enough mate, you would not believe the difference. Try just a wing and it will make the rest of your car feel like sandpaper.

Dead easy and dead cheep. I first did it a few years back and is now essential before giving a polish
