Default 2011 STi Sedan Photoshoot! (Dirt and Gravel)

I had an opportunity to shoot a friend's 2011 STi in World Rally Blue.

The forecast called for rain but we pushed for the photoshoot anyways.
We decided to go for a dirty gravel road for the STi's rally heritage.

He's sitting on KW V3's and Advan RS 18x8.
This was shot using my Sony NEX-5 with a Canon FD 50mm 1.4 and the rig shot was with my kit 16mm.

Because not everyone can live with saloon day to day, have you ever tried getting a push chair and two suitcases in the boot of a scoob saloon, it's not pretty I can assure you, if they did not release the hatch my hawk would have been my last scoob!

I used to have to constantly ask for favours with moving and collecting stuff, now ladders, cookers, you name it it fits it te car.

Fair play but I manage to get me, the mrs, my 4 yr old, my newborn, shopping, and the pushchair in my classic. Although I have had to get clcik-in base for the newborns car seat as the seatbelt wasnt long enough to fit around it!!

Welcome RCubed

Nice pictures and a nice scoob.

Had a nose through some of the other pics in your album.....some seriously impressive photography going on there!

Your own scoob (the white hatch I'm assuming) looks great, you should get some pics of that up here too!

+1. I love the practicality of my hatch. Besides, I have a huge wing on my hatch as well :P

These are the best looking shots yet of the 2011 STi four door, but remember, the UK version doesn't have the rear spoiler as standard and nor will it have these bigger wheels that fill the arches to perfection. Take away the spoiler and wheels and the new STi looks a much lesser animal.
When you compare these pics to the ones that Subaru UK are using to advertise their latest STi, it is quite obvious why sales aren't up to much.

Loved my hatch and would have another but that Sti is stunning, want one

great pics BTW.

Loving your hatch, got back into white in Aus, very popular down there. The Sedan would look great in white with gold or anthricite.

What are the other upgrades ?

I think cost is big factor at the moment. We're in a recession and Subaru are asking £34k for an STi. Shame coz I think it's a cracking looking car.
