.. but I just got a BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox fitted to my CTR and wanted to show off!

Here's a closeup of the kit with the snazzy little oil breather:

And here's the whole engine bay:

And then for luck the front of my car:

And the back (with thanks to Salsa-king for the smiley )

Next it's the exhaust - once someone releases a decent one.

Normal driving don't even notice it.

Put your foot down and it sounds like thunder, hit mid-revs and it starts to yell. Strike the VTEC zone and it absolutely screams. Totally addictive.

No idea what it's done power wise though so can't really comment there. The last guy who had one reckoned he got 16bhp though and had the b4 and after dyno to prove it!!

Get your deposit down now. It's well worth it

Laurence
PS Thanks on the plate. Took me ages to choose

Cool

Honduhs?

Attempted Type-R Invasion!

But on a more serious note. Having seen magazine shots of these things I was rather dubious, but I've seen a fair few in the flesh now and I've gotta say I love 'em

Oops, that's torn it...

No worries Simon, after all the work it was the least I could do!

Sqizz: That link was about the funniest thing I've read in ages.

JohnMcC - why not get T9 YPR for £250 from DVLA - looks pretty similar and a good price?

Laurence - Im tempted to get a CTR. Was smitten after a test drive this week, that 6speed box is a smooth as a babys bum. Just gotta test drive the MG ZR 160 before I make my mind up. Wherabouts do you live as I wouldnt mind hearing the difference your mod makes if I do get one.

Hi,

I'm in Hampshire, near Winchester so it's a bit of a trek for you to come down. The only other person I know of at the moment lives somewhere near Swindon. If you DO fancy coming down though just let me know and we could meet for a beer.

The difference with the induction is nominal under normal driving. Put your foot down and the aggression kicks in though Just remember that it's not as loud as a cone induction kit due to being enclosed but it is louder than standard. It is very efficient however due to using cold induction and showed a 12bhp increase over three 'baseline' civics at a recent RR day!

C'mon then, what's the lowdown on the clear Scoobynet stickers?

I had a Honda-R one but it's so big that I can't see out of the rear window with it in!

How much are they?

Any pics?

Problem with the AEM stuff is that they don't do one for the new Type-R yet.

I did LOADS of research before deciding on this as well as talking to people on about four BBS systems in the UK and the US.

IMHO you can't do much better than this on a 2001 CTR currently.

This is also the reason I still have an OEM exhaust. The only options are a Magnex for £300 and a Mugen for £1100. I'm going to give it 6 months and see what happens.
