I prefer the facelift front. As above its looks more aggressive. You need some tinted side lights to finish the look off imo..... (something I too need to purchase )

Definitely the facelift. But I think you need the latter bumper to finish it off

Looks good on that bumper imo.
If he was to get the later bumper he'd need the later v5/6 grille too!!

I've always preferred the pre-facelift myself.
It looks more original to me whereas the facelift
looks like an after thought.

A complete facelift does look more aggressive, but with original bumper, only ever looks half-done.
However, everyone does a facelift - loose the crowd and keep it original, especially if you're keeping the low spoiler

On yours I'd leave the bumper as is but get the fog covers and splitter as above

I disagree, mine has the facelift bonnet but with pre-facelift bumper. Mine like most late '96- early '98 left the factory like that........

Keep the facelift IMO and get the splitter and fog covers.
Mine below, I'm changing my splitter soon though.

Put the prefacelift bonnet on with grille and use the facelift lights
Prefer the look with front fogs, the covers make me think its the cheaper one. lol.
I`m seriously considering getting crystal lights for my prefacelift as I think they look nice.
(Shame they never made preface crystal lights)
Even use the facelift grille??
