well after 6 months of heart ache and spending money hand over fist she's nearly done. fired her up today and what a relief when she ran. still got brake lines to run and few bits under bonnet to sort and coilovers to fit but i can see the finish line. just a quick pic sorry about crap phone but hope to hear comments good or bad.

like a say still needs few bits and looking for someone decent to give it a full hit.
will get a pic up of under bonnet (as this is where the major alteratuions done) tomorrow.

Loose the scoop in favour of a standard classic one.

Looking good, but I'd second the vote for putting a classic scoop back on

As in a bugeye one? I think they were slightly taller. There is a company that makes slightly taller ones for classic but they still look out of place imho and unnecessary as you get enough airflow through the standard scoop.

Yours will have had this one on it. The original and still the best on a classic, imho of course

Yes, I have one fitted to my Type R as I've fitted a V8 intercooler and needed a larger scoop to clear the intercooler splitter. It looks 'okay', but I agree, the standard scoop looks best on a classic.
