Default Rear Brembo Colour Change

Have had a busy 4 days working on the car, hopefully fixing the little niggles it's had recently.

Last job on the list was to paint the rear calipers.

Since fitting the Ap's on the front it looked a bit odd with black calipers on the front and gold on the rear.... and i wasn't going to get some AP rear to match!!!

They came out pretty well. Only slight problem is the replacement Brembo stickers (in yellow) were a big bigger than they should have been, but i can live with that.

I just used normal satin black spray paint.

Shouldn't need the high temp paint, as it's just the rears.

I have a spare set of stickers, so am thinking of re-doing the sticker but without the logo, so it fits on better.

Hows that? Click to enlarge!

Quality poor as I used Paint.net!

Or just get a smaller set made up, so they fit?

Moley

contact this guy on ebay

http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/leigh_howd...id=p4340.l2559

he'll make you brembo stickers in any colour or size, superb quality too, just give him a ring and tell him what width you want and he'll scale and do the rest.

this is gonna be one of my to do jobs as well, so did you just remove the wheels then go crazy with masking up?

was it easy to get into the rear etc?....... would have thought this was a caliper off job?

I jacked the car up quite high to get access.

Lots of masking tape and paper, and made sure i rubbed the calipers down properly with wet and dry paper

I'm doing this with a set at the moment, my way round the sticker issue is just to have the round logo and not the 'brembo' bit

If you re-do with the spare stickers, I'd say just put the logo on, on its own. That would look ok. I think that's how the rear brembo's come on Evo's.

EDIT, already mentioned above by D6ale. good idea I thnik.

Take 2.....

You'll have to excuse the crap pictures.

Much happier with it now, and it's a bit more subtle aswell.....
