From a WRX to an STi!
Sold my WRX of 2.5 years before Christmas and have been looking to get back to Scooby ownership.
My WRX:
My sadness has now been replaced with joy as I have this week picked up my new toy:
Excuse the rubbish pictures, havent had a chance to clean the car yet...
Not a great fan of gold so will be looking to make some changes in the future. Haven't seen the RS4 alloys on a Scooby before and think they are growing on me! A refurb to black or anthracite could be on the cards though....
Amazed at the difference between the WRX and STi and have been grinning since I made the deal!
Have it booked in next weekend for a diagnostic on the rollers so will see what she is pushing out.
Back in the wife's Punto till then

Thanks for the comments guys.
The car was too good a deal to say no to because of the gold highlights and they are easy to paint back to black (when funds allow!)
I'm getting used to the wheels and they are different to the normal you see on every STi. Just deciding what colour to refurb them in.
I loved my WRX to bits but the STi seems a different animal to drive and feels tighter and more involved. The extra toys are fun to play with as well. MPG is worse than my WRX at the moment but I didnt buy the car for fuel economy.
I'm glad I started in the WRX and learnt how the 4WD system works before upgrading. Gave me a head start to enjoy the extra power.

Nice!
Try gunmetal Grey or silver for the wheel colour!
The STI is a totally different proposition to the WRX isn't it. The subjective difference in performance is MUCH bigger than the figures would lead you to believe.

my 55 plate wrx was mapped to around 265 with no other modslike suspension or brakes and although quick off the mark etc just didnt quite have the same grip, obviously not quite as ,quick, steering was not as positive everything about it was just that little bit different compared to my 57 plate sti i did enjoy my wrx dont get me wrong but they really are totally different cars hard to put it down in words...also my sti has the ppp package so there is about 50 ish bhp difference which helps as well both great cars but are really different

Thanks for the feedback I appreciate that - never having been in an STI I guess it's difficult for me to understand the differences
