Default The Scoob's Replacement!!

Well here's the car I've replaced the Scoob with, I sold it so I could free up some cash to go towards a house and think I've done ok!! I've only taken this one pic so far but after a clean this weekend I'll get some more up

She's a 2002 facelift M5 with 129k on the clock, lots and lots of extras, there's not much she hasn't got TBH!! Has the backboxes replaced with straight pipes yesterday, still got the cats and the kidney box in place so can go louder

Here's the old exhaust...

And here's the new one

It's sooooooo smooth, I can happily drive round town in 4th then not a dual carriageway and floor it and it just pulls and pulls up to 70 this was made after the recalls for the VANOS system so should have no worries! The only thing that was missing when I bought it was the right sound but that's sorted now

Cheers guys

Wiley, TBH it's not that bad on fuel, I'm still on my first tank since I bought it Sunday though probably get about 300 +/- 50miles to it's 70litre tank!! You haven't got to thrash it to get it to go!!

Can't go wrong with the M5 mate.

They sound really nice with the exhaust changed. Got one round by me that sounds the nuts.

Love the car and it does sound great but it's a bit of an odd combination, ie looking so understated and dignified and sounding like a hooligan! Sort of like hearing some bird clipping along in high heels, imagining a tasty blonde, then swinging round to see your grandmother approaching.

that did make me laugh!! Very true though, I love the subtle looks, quietness whilst pootling about town, then the raw V8 sound when I open it up

I'll be getting a remap at some point, have seen some headers that have been tested at the Surrey Rolling Road, they seem to give good results or maybe a Supercharger kit good for 530ish bhp will just have to buy shares in Goodyear

So do you miss the scoob? Is it a worthy replacement?

Picking this up pretty much straight away took my mind off it, it is a worthy replacement, very subtle until I press the loud pedal, totally opposite to the Scoob in that respect

Great choice!

An E39 M5 would be at the top of my list next time too.

I wanna live in your world. You free up some cash by selling a Scoob and then replace it with an M5 - you then talk of superchargers .
Freeing up cash for me meant a Mondeo TDCi

Epic choice my old fruit, I did this a couple of years ago as had to free up some pennies from my P1

The car is a monster, you can nail most things off the lights, over take at any speed and cruise at any speed, everything is so effortless !

This was mine

well after selling mine I found thus for a bargain so had plenty left! It's not far off the running costs for the Scoob but was a lot cheaper to buy! I think I did pretty well, it was valeted every week so the interior is spotless!

That is very nice the traction control is damn good, off the lights there is minimal spin and just goes from very low down, looks like a normal 5 series but sounds and goes like a rocket

I'll be getting tints done on the rears next week at some point! Think it will make it look a lot better!!

Tints FTW, finish off that ganster/pimp look Loved it!! The sound of these things on chat is just bonkers, from subtle fat business man to face ripping mental head motor

They are deceptively fast, you don't realise just how good they are until you go against something...... my E39 used to nail most cars but feel like I was sat on my sofa LOL

Enjoy her dude, defo a suitable replacement

Thanks buddy, I've been enjoying every mile for the last week even though it doesn't do many to the gallon

The seats are so comfortable, electric everything, lumbar support the works!! I'll have to see if there's a list of extras it has
