welcome to the club mate, looks like you got a decent 1st Impreza
big debates regards to the induction kit/ original airbox with a good panel filter.

I prefer the original box with K&N panel filter. In my eyes & many others, unless your about 350bhp upwards a panel filter will be perfectly ok.

But even having an induction kit does not mean the end of your maf sensor, but there is the old heat soak issue as it is taking in warmer air from the engine bay.

Nice car mate As long as it's not an oiled filter your MAF will be ok.

oh right thanks im sure its not oiled but thinkin i may just replace the maf with a new one as a safe guard!worth it? i never intended on getting asilver classic but the longer i have it the more i like the colour, was really after a mica red one. Any idea about my wheels im not that keen on them but if they are actual subaru wheels i will def hang on to them thanks danny

Alright Danny, Chris said you'd joined here!

Im 99% certain they are not Subaru Impreza alloys, they are aftermarket alloys.

I would change back to a decent panel filter, I had a Blitz Sus air intake on my old Scoob and it killed my MAF quite quickly. Fit a decent panel filter and then remove the air box snorkal from the inner wing, doing this will give you that whooshing sound the current filter makes.

That dyno printout is generous!

Enjoy mate.

thanks steve yeh i think im defo going to get the original airbox back on there for peace of mind! i do stand corrected the dyno was actually 284.6 not 295 not much difference and im not sure where it was done off the top of my head, i really need to have a good look through its history to see exactly what its had done.loving having one at last despite the insurance and fuel costs!
