My new toy
Only had it just over a week & I've already got lots of ideas & plans. First of all it needed a clean as you will see from the pics. I've ordered a few bits, so will update once i get them on. Here are some pics for now...
Dirty car...
All cleaned up, polished & waxed. Oh & i removed the stickers & the STi badge on the rear.

Thanks for the comments, I don't like the gold wheels either, looking for some black 18" alloys with a red pin stripe. & yes it will be getting lowered soon as well

Yer removed the badge s its not an STi & i'm not one for having badges on a car that are not ment to be there.
So i decided to clean the engine bay up a little.
Before...
Then i decided the yellow caps didn't look right so took them off to spray...
Then i decided i wanted to de-tango the front end as well, so off came the headlights...
Also took off the front orange side repeater things...
All the caps back on & looking fresh in red...
So to de-tango the headlights i had to cook them, lol. My mum gave me some funny looks...
In the oven...
15 mins later...
Sprayed & put back together...
All back on & looking good with the engine bay caps...
Close up of caps & headlight...
Finished for now...
Now i know the red don't go with the gold wheels etc. at the minute but once i get the new wheels on it will look better.
Not sure if i should spray some more bits in the engine bay, like the alternator cover, fuse box cover & header tank.
Opinions?

they are the exact same as standard phil84, no difference at all, still light up the road the same, indicators still flash orange.
Everyone sprays them black & thats fine so i don't see why spraying them red would make a difference for mot. Its just a colour.

Black is neutral though.
Don't get me wrong, it stands out and you have done a good job of doing it.
I think for MOT's though, any other colours apart from white and orange on the front of a car is a no-no!!!!
Any MOT testers or anyone who knows exactly to confirm???
For me it would just bring unwanted attention from plod!!!!
It's your car and whatever you're happy with...

Just like to be different & stand out, once the wheels are changed & the decals are on it will look a lot better.
If i get pulled & told i aint allowed them or MOT says they have to change will only take a couple of hours to spray them black so its not as if its going to cost a lot to change. Will just see what happens.

Just done a couple of photoshops as i'm not sure which would look best, i think the 2nd one, let me know your opinions please.
The header tank is a little worse for ware so this will be painted red along with the bracket things that hold the rad on at the front. But i don't know if i should spray the fuse box cover, alternator cover & the other cover in the top left (cant remember what this is covering but you can see it in the pics). Or i could trim them in carbon. I am thinking the carbon route as this would break up the red in the engine bay as i don't want it to look like everything that can be painted has been painted, lol.
Photoshop 1 - Everything painted red.
Photoshop 2 - Red & Carbon.
