Hi,
Well just got my first Impreza, so thought I'd show it off and see if any of you recognise it.
UK model Turbo, lowered 40mm, dump valve, induction kit, 18" wheels.

Think it needs a bit of money spent as the clutch pedal doesn't fully come up occasionally so have to lift it with my foot (done it a couple of times in 100 odd miles), and 5th crunches a tiny bit if you're giving it some when changing up.

Cheers, Did think about an imported STI, but for the money it would have been a dog, this was £1800 on 90k miles and a massive history folder, and you don't see many in this colour combi round my way.

tidy!! i gather the pedal problem happens more when going flat out? if so, quick bleed and check for return spring fixes it.

A crunch between 4th and 5th gear when changing up under hard driving sounds like the synchro mesh in the gear box.

Welcome all the same.

I had this clutch problem with my99 turbo. I tried bleeding the clutch, checked the spring under the intercooler etc. The problem turned out to be the treaded rod that is attached to the clutch pedal that comes back from the master cylinder had wound itself in.

To fix this I wound the locking nut to the end of the thread so it was tight. Then with a spanner wound the threaded rod out. "anti clockwise". Making sure the locking nut was tight at the end of the thread so the whole thing was turning. I did this until the spring returned the pedal all the way back up. Then I loosened the locking nut a wound back down to the pedal arm and tightened back up.

It only took me 5 mins. I was kicking myself because I had tried everything else.

Hope this makes sence. Give it a go!
