Default 2008 STI finally got the luster

After nearly 2 years of ownership I started to feel the midnight blue pearl colour was impossible to get any deep luster... anyway..I brought out the big guns today....and finally got the result I've been wanting.

Washed car with warm water & Meguires NXT
Meguires Claybar
Rinse
New Chamois down
Swissol cleanse rinse
Polished with Meguires Gold polish
Finished with Swissol Samurai Wax
Buffed with one of my wife's finest towels (now hidden )

Really is the hardest colour I've ever encountered to get a great result.

Total time was 3 hours

I washed and cleansed & claybar'd it yesterday so only quick rinse and chamoix then polish/wax today (about 1.5 hours)

Cheers Scott..

main difference was the Swissol Wax... Last time I used it was back in 2003 on my old STI, it's superb stuff and worth every penny (or should that be £)

Am I the only one who has problem with water getting into the rear lights on the boot lid? They have now gone green are they easy to remove - two bolts on the outer edge?
