Default Started Wrapping Interior Trim

Since my 400 sq ft of carbon wrap has arrived I figured it was about time I got to work on a few bits and pieces! I started off with the handbrake surround today, and will do the gearstick surround after work tomorrow.

Firstly, I removed both pieces of trim;

Then removed the coin holders and switches;

Leaving me with this;

Roughly two hours later I was left with this;

The reason it took so long was I removed the rubber surround for the handbrake in order to tuck the wrap neatly underneath it, which entailed removing (IIRC) 10 one-way metal clips that hold the gaitor to the trim.

Refitted;

On to the gearstick surround tomorrow!

Looks Superb mate! is that the 3M carbon wrap? was thinking of doing this myself. Did you use a trusty hairdryer?
May be worth doing a guide for us not so handy scooby netters!

It's the 3M dry carbon wrap, yeah. A Hairdryer is a must, you can't apply it effectively without. A guide would be hard to write actually bud, all you really do is lay it on, heat it and carress it onto whatever it is you're wrapping. Learning the techniques is the hardest part as you need to know where to apply the wrap before heating and applying it.

This looks amazing man!!! Truly great! I'm hoping to do this to mine soon... would love to see how the gearstick surround turns out.

Also do you plan to do the plastic bits on the doors as well... like the pieces with the window controls and door handles etc? I'm also planning on doing the surround on the center console that usually has the same finish as the gearstick surround, along with a few vents etc.

Would love it you did those and fitted them so I could have a little preview
