Going up to Lincoln on M1 last Friday my ever so clean motor started blowing lots of steam from under bonnet. Temp gauge hit went thru roof.

Local garage re-filled water - except it just came pouring out of split top hose. Hence car relayed back to local Subaru dealer - bugger.

Hopefully will have it back today. Praying its just the hose, and no more permanent damage was done.

Not sure what might have caused the original problem though. Perhaps I should actually open bonnet and check coolant level occasionally :-)

 

Thought you were refering to it still having the standard backbox on the car

 

It's my company car so mods would be frowned upon.
