do recall reading that the paint is more like a primer than a paint if that makes sense?!?! not as hard-wearing i think
don't know if that's the case......

You can have your whole car wrapped in matt black vinyl now,
i reckon better than painting it bcus you could always remove it.

Probably shows a lot more imperfections as well.

Now that sounds a much better idea. Any idea of where to get it done & how much it might cost?

A wrap has to be the way forward, at least you can reverse it come sale time.

The prep work is a pain because any imperfections stand out a mile. Also when the paint is applied if there are any problems it cant be flatted back and re applied. It has to be taken off and redone.

Have to agree a matt black vinyl wrap is the way forward, its not permanent and there is nothing like the amount of prepwork needed to get the paint 100% as mentioned above.

yes mine is matt black. the whole car. still got a little few things to sort out.
as for the above it is easy to flat back again and hide imperfections. but i must point out that it does weather bad. well not as bad, but you get what i mean
i have done the inside of the wheel arches now and will try and get some better pics.

Do a google image search for "Matte black cars" to see loads of examples. Some are better than others.
There is a Matte Black Rolls Royce on there that looks nasty!
