Default My Subaru Sport WRX STI Conversion

Here are a few pictures of my subaru sport that has been converted to a WRX with a few other mods. It was originally dark blue mica and was sprayed white, it needs a remap and a few bits doing before i insure it when im 19. Im going to change the door cards and rear seats to match the P1 fronts and will be putting my OZ racing alloys on as the wheels on there now are cheap copies. Has new uprated fuel pump, FMIC, Full Decat with manifold and downpipe, Induction kit and dump valve. I need to get some uprated injectors before the remap.

nice car. how much did the conversion cost you? how did you get around the wiring loom issue? did you re-wire the whole car or use an aftermarket ecu?

thanks, The whole car was rewired with the WRX loom, but i want to get an after market ECU when i get it remapped maybe with anti lag and launch control. With the WRX loom it means ive got a few wires that dont plug in anymore etc

Ditto on the insurance front. Don't drop yourself in the ****e and insure it as a Sport.
Would it have been easier and cheaper to buy a WRX Wagon?

hi fella i done this to a my00 sport a few years ago but used a my95 wrx it was a nightmare and took months to sort out same as you i used the wrx loom but because of the looms in the doors being diff, i didnt get around to getting the windows working etc
i sold it to a young guy (it was still registered as a sport but i had it covered on my business insurance) not sure if he declaired all the conversion but i bought a my97 RA after i sold it though,
looks like you will have the bug too lol
i now have a my94 wrx thats in the process of replicating L555 REP, hence my new username,

New pictures with my OZ racing alloys fitted with D1 spec wheel nuts, dash is currently off as i need to do some rewiring. I think the gold alloys make it looks less chavy lol.

you serious about that insurance? that is extremely cheap, do you know someone I can talk to at RAC to get this sort of quote?

im 23 with 4 years NCB and my JDM 98' WRX STI is 2 grand, declared with no mods etc + thatcham device & immob - expensive after market ones.

either im being screwed over (but thats the cheapest quote ive had with over 20 insurance companies :s) or its the area I live in :s which is a nice area really.

on topic though; nice conversion!
