im awaiting mine in the post mate, so will be fitted sometime this week if i like them.

the general opinion on the net is mixed regarding these, apparently they are like marmite.....

but here is a car that i really really like, and it happens to have a set on.... (scroll down to the silver type r)

I'm off to have a look at a set of RCM ones tomorrow.

Are they really that bad for looking through?

They do look the part and I've always liked them so here's hoping there in top nic.

there aweful to see out ov there hardly any point having them on at all but they do look so sexy... there no real way ov telling if there rcm items if second hand so if poss go in the car and try 1 on there 2min s to swap over and you see how they fit just make sure you can get your wing mirrors off as a few have a tendancy to seize on

Thanks for that,

I know the guy who is selling so I have no issues over if they are the real thing.
Bugger it, if I like I'm having life is to short to worry about little things like if you can actually see out of them

Very true.
Put mine on the other day....the old drivers one came off fine....the passenger one was a nightmare, all 3 screws seized.
Had to drill them in the end and ruin the old mirror as the threads were stuck in it.

What have you got on the Rb5 Phil?

My Type R is the same colour so kinda hoping the cool grey works well with the carbon.

Have JDM folding mirrors on the RB5 - same as came with the car.

Carbon does go well with grey so reckon they would look good anyways.

Looking good there.... but I could not live with these at all, I like to keep an eye in the mirror plus when getting past a brick pillar on my driveway I use the passenger side to mark my distance or I'd end up hitting it

Sadly the mirrors turned out not to be RCM items so I passed on them

I might just bite the bullet and buy new once I've saved a little more cash. We will see.

Thanks everyone for your pictures and advice, it saved the day

I bought mine through an Internet auction thinking they were carbon fibre, much to my disappointment they weren't so I planned on selling them however I've grown fond of them - no good for parallel parking though...
