Thats what i was thinking. That would be well over 300 at the flywheel. No way its running that if its still on the standard turbo.

So your telling me a uk turbo with standard ecu and Td04 turbo is running about 320bhp, when a properly mapped car with a Tdo4 maxes out at about 280. Either your car has had the turbo changed or that 247 is at the flywheel.

Dyno charts always quote the flywheel power. So if yours is at the wheels as you say. What did alan say the flywheel power is likely to be? And can you explain how your car has made 100bhp over standard just from an exhaust and filter change.

A ppp car of that year runs about 240bhp at the flywheel.

right as i have stated this is my first scoobie so not an EXPERT like most on here.the car is meant to have the prodrive bits on it and that is all i know.only just got the thing and started sorting it out hence the new ecu going on soon and fmic.if it has been remapped already then thats a normal figure apparently.

With those mods 247bhp is about right. But like i said, thats at the flywheel. At the wheels would make it a hell of alot more 300+. Not having a pop at you or your car. But most mapped classic Sti`s would be happy with 247bhp at the wheels.

240 when new. Your car is over 10 years old now. And unless the car has been mapped again after all those bits were fitted then it wouldn`t be a massive gain. A ppp car has a sports cat anyway and induction kit will add next to nothing on a scoob. Most people prefer a decent panel filter.

so a grand has got me 10 bhp....dont think so.just spoken to lad that works for alan jefferies and mine makes 208 standard and the mods have taken it to 247.1 and i stand corrected and that is a flywheel figure! so my mods have added 39 bhp.(bit more than 10)

At last we get there. So the 247 was at the flywheel like i said. And not at the wheels. And if your car has ppp like you said it may have it might only be a 10bhp increase. But a new ecu should see it around 280.

just got more goodies for the car.
walbro 255 pump,
pipercross induction kit(got rid of the cheap halfords cr*p that was on there),
and got a new age sti tmic and new b.o.v off ebay(bargain at £88 for both, intercooler seller didnt put a reserve price and was bit miffed it went for so little)
for the power i want to run the sti tmic will be ideal and wont have to bugger about fitting a fmic.
might get a couple bhp but will run nicer and a lot safer.

Getting there then rifleman but don't tell the wife aye? LOL . Walbro pump is the best buy there I think. Such a pain when the standard pumps fail as I discovered and after getting a Walbro it's sorted (sure it was leanin' out as the old pump died ).
