Thats the saying i hate "500 rep" it's a Sierra Cosworth which the 500 was based upon. A lot of people get confused with the 2 cars the 500 being the limited run (500) to allow them to run touring cars and the Sierra Cosworth the production car to allow them to compete in motorsport (rallying etc). although right my car runs the 500 kit for the more aggressive look
Cheers for the comments i was over the moon with the pictures, not bad for a 23 year old Sierra

No probs frayz i didn't mean owt by it, every 3dr owner says the same mate.
Every time i pull up at a petrol station someone says nice 500 i think it's simply because the marketing on the car back in the day was the 500 in touring cars which most just assume your sierra 3dr road car is also 500bhp and not the stock 200.
The 500 bodybits were added just to make the car look more aggressive but it's badged as a sierra cosworth.

I bought a D reg Cossie in 1987 and had it for only 14 months. I became fed up with the number of times that the car was a target for thieves, who although never managing to steal the car, caused untold damage in the attempts to do so. It was never safe anywhere. Nice cars in their day, but noisy engines at speed. I was surprised how much quieter my first Impreza was in comparison when I bought it several years later. The irony of it all is, on selling the Cosworth I bought an Escort RS turbo, had it chipped to 170 bhp only for it to be stolen, never seen again, after three weeks of ownership.

Your excellent pics bring back many memories for me, particularly the shots of the interior. My Cossie was D reg in black. Bought it at a dealership in Hull and sold it to a garage in Scotland, the Escort RS Turbo as part of the deal. I had the police on to me a few months later because the Sierra had been used in a robbery and I was still the registered owner, according to Swansea. Fun and games.
