Default More money spent, fmic!!!!

Well, after spending the last year convincing myself that the Sti6 tmic was good enough, i took the plunge and fitted a Hybrid fmic
I got hold of a second hand one in good nick, and also fitted a new Apexi power intake kit.
I'm quite pleased with the job, started it a 4pm Thursday, back on the road Friday lunch time! It went well, this is my second fmic install, so new what to expect. But, as before, the worst bit was cutting the bumper, especially as I've just face lifted the front, with a freshly painted bumper.
I need a re map, also got header wrap and turbo blanket to fit next week, get the engine bay temps down.
The lack of the tmic lets me fit the strut brace I've had for a while, it does need a refurb mind.
Also fitted some bonnet gas lifters.
Anyway, here's the before and after pics:

Before:

After:

Thanks,Mit

Thanks, i have an ally F-win rad, came with the car. The clearance is very tight, much tighter than than my last car running the standard rad, also have aircon, so the extra fan. I had to trim the fan shroud to clear it.
I fitted 3mm vac lines. Make sure it's the thick wall silicon type, as i've heard if people getting boost problems with rubbish lines. Also make sure to retain the restrictor pill.

Yes, but with a iffy number plate location. Not sure where to put it, don't really want to cover the carbon spot cover with a square plate. Going to raise the plate a bit, see how it looks.

its in the bottom pipe coming out of the 3 port boost solonoid that vent back into the intake, i had to cut the old rubber pipe to find it and get it out.

Hi, i removed the oil pressure light sensor on top of the block, under the alternator, fitted an LMA extension adaptor, which has a 'T' in it, so that you can refit the oil light sensor, and the pressure sender, as you see on top of the inlet. The oil temp i fitted to the blank on cylinder 3.

I seem to have 2 pills on mine, i have the one in the bottom hose on the boost sol, i left the old pipe fitted, and also have a plastic reducer in the side hose too. I re used it in the new vac line i fitted.

depends what the simtek is using for boost control, probably still the three port as there pretty reliable, so if you do change the vacuum hoses you still need to find the pill.
