Smile My New Car (Bug Prodrive STI)

I travelled from France to Glasgow to collect this from fellow Snetter maliky.
He is a genuine nice bloke he collected me from the airport, took me to the bank, taxed it and he even filled it up with Vpower for me
From the moment I set eyes on it was obvious he looked after it its absolutely immaculate inside and out and has the right mods done to it and low mileage too.
The suspension was a little too hard but a few clicks softer on the adjusters (when I stopped for fuel) and it’s perfect. Might need some ear defenders for the baby mind
It’s a big improvement over my classic STI in almost every way its quicker too feels like it has loads more torque.
Only thing I think it lacks is a quick rack.

Any way here are some pics after I washed it off today when I got back was no need to polish her plenty already on
View my scooby for a list of the mods its had done to it

So your happy now ?

Bug-eyes rule. But I would say that !

I found the TSL Group N back box nice and quiet on the motorway, but with a fruity rasp when needed.

Looks fabulous. Enjoy !

I haven’t decided if I am putting any in yet I would need a pod on the dash and a pillar pod for the EGT. I was going to try to monitor then tweak the map a little but this has a Ecukek Andy F mapped ECU so its locked and should be spot on anyway so no need to.
I probably will put some in eventually as I like to keep an eye on what’s going on I just didn’t want to spoil the interior with pods

A very clean looking car. I saw your post on how far would you travel to get the right car. How was your trip home and how many tanks of fuel did you get through?

It came with a full tank and I filled up twice but only got about £72 in total it’s got about 1/4 tank left too so not bad. On the motorway I worked out between fuel stops that I had done 28.6mpg but that was mainly at 50-60 mph on the M6 in roadwork’s covered in cameras

Yeah it is now but it wasn’t until I softened the suspension the ride on the motorway was very harsh. The 19" wheels make a lot of road noise and the exhaust is very loud but I love it
I am going to get some sound deadening (hope its not too heavy) as we have a baby on the way don’t want to damage her ears I will do the boot, under the back seat and all the doors should be much better then.
