Default Bucket seats & subframes

Lets see your bucket racing seat installations - who's made their own subframes for the side mounts and harness securing points?

cheers

Made my own frames for my sidemounted Recaro.

Pics here

These were made from scratch using the OEM frames that were then cut, modified and welded

Picking mine up this aft, some Corbeau revolution seats, weigh 6kg each, compared to what i have now, which combined weigh a hefty 50kg...:-( - coupled with AMS harness bar and sparco 4 point harnesses.

Need side mounts and runners etc, will post up pics later in week when I hopefully get them done.

Do they really weigh that much?! So going to the 12kg for a pair, plus the extras, say 15kg total. My car has a power to weight of 275bhp/ton. Get rid of the 35kg,puts it up to 283bhp/ton. Free power!!

yes mate, its being set up for sprinting so....seat weight loss....lets say around 50kg - 12kg = 35kg or around that, spare wheel/jack - 17kg, air conditioning unit, motor, etc 20kg.....going on nearly 60-70kg loss which won't affect drive comfort too much......suppose its not bad, this is on an Evo 8 though, lumpy lardar$e things to strip...lol
