I must admit something looks 'not quite right about it but i can't tell'

The picture between that and the other F40 look pretty much the same but there is no cat on this one, it could just be a performance exaust though

Its a rather expensive copy if it is

Defo the ral thing, even down to the anti roll bar being the same, the oil coolers are the same too.
I can't imagine anyone going to that degree of detail, just to fool a few people!

nuclear_pond: the moulded F40 logo is only on the right hand side of the rear aerofoil upright.

Yep, the silvery things on the top of the engine are indeed the intercoolers, BUT, the little black things just inside the rear bumper (one each side) are oil coolers!

Question

The exhaust does look different but it was used in an Australian race series so the performance exhaust idea sounds about right.
It does sound like a bike engine (or 4) when it starts, it is incredibly loud!

I am interested how Salsa king and Avi can be so sure it is a 'fake'. What other evidence do you have

Perhaps it didn't look good when facing 'backwards'?

(and what does RON mean about oil coolers -- aren't those two things on the top intercoolers, one per turbo?)

Still doesn't look as nice as a 288 GTO, although it is the last one that the Old Man saw through to completion.
