Forester on the beach!
#1
My Forester on Frasier Island, miles of inland sandy tracks, freshwater lakes and awsome rainforest.
This is my lady at our campsite, right along the surf side of the island overlooking the Pacific ocean.
This is me at Lake Mckenzie, the largest freshwater lake on Fraser.
This is some friends of ours at Rainbow Beach, also in Queensland.
Probably some of you guys have visited there before. I don't know how many times i've passed landrovers chock full of Brit tourists getting themselves hopelessly bogged over there
Always when my camera is packed away.
And the number of Scoobies you see over there is amazing. Lots of the old sportswagons dating back to the late 70's, right up to Forester Turbo GT's.
They sometimes struggle through the island, mainly cos of all the deep wheel ruts made by the bigger 4wd's, i just put one wheel inbetween then and one wheel right over the side, i've only been bogged once.
On the main beach though, the Scooby rules. It's like a 20 lane highway at low tide, 100km easy, just gotta watch out for the freshwater streams that cut across the beach all along the island.
Hope you like the pics.

Thanks
Yeah, she's great in the sand but i've never really taken her inland. Ground clearance is the only problem. There's kits you can buy here that'll give you 3" extra clearance. I've got an around Oz trip planned in about 5 years time (long service leave) and I plan to get the lift kit in time for it. It's about $1800 (Aud) fitted, so the price is pretty good.

Don't leave it too long, the way things have been going there lately the days of the weekend fishing trip with the boys might soon be over.
It's so popular now the place is getting a bit chopped up.
Oh, and make sure you go in a scoob!
In low range through the sandy inland tracks, the Forester really rally's up well (in a plush kinda way )
