I've been meaning to do this for a while and finaly got my **** in gear and ordered the stuff from the states. I faniced a different look to the normal orange or STI rears and was pointed to them about a year ago.

Total cost was $24.95 including shipping and took about 5 minutes to fit, It's like a self adhesive tinting film which is precut for the rear lights. You can get red, light smoked or dark tint. I went for the dark tint and think it looks pretty good with the black of the Carbon spoiler.

I've got some of this on order.

Normal smoke kits allow 83% light output.
Yours look like dark smoke; they allow 70% light output.

albeit (going from the post above), with a 30% reduction in being able so see where you are going

Ah yes......but as I've ordered the normal smoke, I'll only have a 17% reduction and then only in reverse. I'm unlikely to be reversing so fast that 17% makes that much difference.

I'm blind as a bat anyway!!

I've got a 50% reversing light reduction on mine..... mainly because my one reversing light has been converted to a fog
