A mate of mine Sprints / hillclimbs his Saph 4*4 and he uses some alloy which isolates the air filter from the turbo so that is pulls in cold air rather than pulls in hot air from around the turbo.
Dunno whether this would make any difference, but in theory taking in hot air is a bad thing.
Basically the air filter is panelled in and the panel seals against the bonnet, and is sealed against the chassis at the bottom.
Oh yeah his runs about 35PSI boost
