Looks like a minter there m8!
Not driven a 16v MkII, had a burn with one in my VR6 once, it put up a good fight
I also had the MKIII 16v, but lets not talk about that...turned out to be a "hot" hatch, emphasis on the "hot" if ya no what I mean
Still, 5 years on and my mates still driving it around
I bet your not spending as much time standing at the pump filling that one up either!

It's only an 8 valver, but very tidy considering it's nearly 11 years old!
My girlfriend can get over 40mpg (according to the trip computer) where as I'm only getting 32mpg!! Still better than the high teens, low twenties I use to get!!
I can drive it like an idiot, get good mpg and still park it up with no paranoia!!

Alex,
The front and rear VW badges are black! Nicely tarty, although not my doing!
I've lost the number for the pimp tint people, but book me in for the same day they do yours!! And that's a serious suggestion!!

Andy,
Nice car mate - I had a red J reg 8 valve GTI, which I cheekily sold to my wife so I could buy the Scoob
Great cars, built like rocks, good fun and economical is an understatement. Really torquey engines too and reckoned on being as good as the 16V which you have to thrash the nads off!!
Get a strut brace - 40 quid sparco job and WOW, bye bye understeer (likes to lift the rear wheel too ). Only thing is fitting requires drilling the suspension tower...
Enjoy - no Scoob, but just as much fun.
Paul

Great move Andy.
House always comes first!
Another great car such as an EVO or an STI will come with a little bit of time.
Your new car looks very immaculate m8. Did you have to search long to find one in such mint conditon?
Enjoy it and good luck with the your new house, the car and your future EVO, or STI
Cheers,
Wrexy

Wrexy,
I was lucky this car belonged to a friend of a friend, and he has just bought an STI5!!
TBMeech is now on the board with his new car and my old ECU!
But believe it or not, I found the car in private sales on Scoobynet!!
Cheers

The American barges are during the day.
The Novas, Escorts, Golfs ( ), etc happen in the evening when they crawl up and down the High Street (as they have to negoiate the speed bumps, with their dumped to the weeds cars) and it gets heavily patrolled by the Police.
No I haven't been but I was out about in Guildford when it was happening!
