Default Pic Request: Nomad racing triple dash pod

Anyone got any pics of the Nomad Racing 52mm Triple Dash pod fitted?

This one but fitted:

Nomad Racing online store for Ford | RS | Subaru and much more..

Thinking of getting it for my Hawkeye & wondering how it would look fitted?

Cheers

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...gauge-pod.html

I have......

Still even after shed loads of work sanding grinding filling painting .... still not got it looking right.

There is only the two sets of clips front and back so nothing to pull it down at the sides and that results in a gap. Maybe after I've filled sanded and painted some more I'll be happy.

Basically once it's finally sorted it'll look good I hope but it's certainly not a fit and forget.

Thanks for info & thread exactly what I was trying to find!
I am going to be buying the prosport Stepper gauges 52mm from XyberAutos & the Nomad Pod with it. Though not 100 % sure about pod now?

Is it not possible to drill a couple of tiny holes either side (near back) a screw it down & then cover screws with small flush rubber caps or something? Or what about using some silicone type glue that can be removed later for acesss, but will stick sides of pod down??

Are these Nomad Pods the same as JW Racing are selling?

ps how comes filling & sanding is required?

looks very similar to me.

Dont bother getting those gauges utter rubbish. Can't see them at all in the day time although do look good at night. I'm going to try and see if I can open them up and fit brighter or multiple LEDs to get some day use out of them.

I'm guessing as it's fibreglass (and after a couple of hours trying to fit it) that it just wasn't cut well out of the mould. Really (and I have suggested this to them) it should be made plastic and it would lend itself well to vacuum forming. Other problems with it include getting the dials to fit flush in the holes we ended up using a drill and a barrel sander ... still not quite flush.

I really can't recommend this package, if I can get it all to work then for the money it will have been ok and probably unique as I'd imagine most people would end up chucking it all in the bin.

I have already bought some black silicone which I hope will fill the gap a bit.

Once it's all properly sorted and working I'll update the other thread.

Pleased for you ..... mine isn't!

As I said I like the look, different to most other pods, but it isn't a simple fit if you want it to look good, and for £70 it should.

Thanks for input PantsUk, I think I will definetley rethink the options on Pods again as I just want an easy to fit, well made & well fitting item.

About the guages I think (though may be wrong) you have the Dynamix ones such as below

Which I think are different fron the ProSport Elec Steeper ones which Iv seen a ot of videos on you tube & seem really bright?

Pod is Autometer, available from USA but only facing LHD driver I think

Just ordered from XyberAutos (based in Singapore or Hong Kong?) the Prosport Elec Stepper Gauges (Set of 3) inc Sandwich plate & extra warning light & 1st class delivery for £118 all in!! Not bad for the price

Just need to choose a triple pod now

Right decided on this single din pod above headunit, instead of dash pod (its even angled/staggered towards driver)

Very discreet & flush. Also always hated that silly cubby hole under headunit & £10's better than £70 !
