Default Our Little Beasty.

Hi guy's.

First of all, "Big Up da' Scoobynet Possy" lol

I'm new to the scooby scene having owned Vauxhalls (turns away in shame lol). I got my first Scooby about 6 days ago now and loving every moment of it.

Shes a WRX STi genuine Jap Import and has had a couple of toys on her such as 3" bore exhaust system from turbo back with 5" tail pipe, urated suspension, blitz dump valve, HKS air filter, complete face lift front end and i'not 100% which, but it has either the P1 or 22b 2 piece spoiler aswell. Oh and has been remapped. Now, from what i've read on the net, am I right in thinking the Jap versions are 276bhp standard??? If so then i'm hoping to be around the 290-300bhp area with the mods done. Shes done 53K miles with FSSH and all MOT's aswell.

Anwho, enough about what goodies she has, here's the old gal in some pic's I have. Only a couple mind, till I get my new camera at the end of the week.

sti v1's were 250bhp, it was only from v2 that they got 276bhp...loads of info here; Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | SidcFaq / SIDC FAQ

just from your pics I can see you have a facelift bonnet and black crystal lights, Jun free flow grill, black painted standard 15" wheels, the rear wing is non-standard too -don't know which version though, colour coded door handles, skirts and splash guards. Oh and bl00dy horrible afterburner lights too

Welcome to SN btw,
Ian

nice car, buuut...

rear lights are disgusting (hold your head in shame! )
spoiler is off a newage as someone else pointed out doesnt hug the bootlid

if its a k-plate and and sti, you should have an original blueprinted hand built sti, either 1/100 or 1/200. the boffins will be along to confirm.

besides that, welcome to the madhouse.

So I take it that means it's a rare one then. It's definatly a K plate and not an after market number plate that someone put on

if its an sti, it should have distinctive plaques around the car... or at least under the engine bay. what number is it? try around the top mounts under the bonnet and aroung the engine bay itself.

if you wanted to find out more, take a piccy of said plaque and the boffins on here could point you in the direction of extra info.

if it is an early sti it should have a plaque and build no. somewhere, otherwise its just another wrx.

heres an example of what i mean

i believe there was a thread on here a bit ago that discussed this. from what i can remember it went something on the lines of some early wrx's and sti's having the same vin details, as the very first sti's were built then changed in the sti part of the factory and added with plaques. that is to the best of my knowledge.

a guy to ask is "GC8" or "Simon69". very knowledgeable dude...

Had a little ganda under the bonnet today to look for this plate you guy's are refering to. I copied all the numbers down on a piece of paper and then checked against the details on the link provided above. Now all of my details are the same as the details in the "WRX (STi version) section. So does this mean I have a proper STi???
